The Golden Shoestring Non-Profit Thrift Shop:

A Sound Shore staple for decades, where we resell donated clothing and household items at affordable prices while generating profits invested back into our community. We have expanded resources to better meet demand and to celebrate its role as our primary fundraiser and a key community asset.  We also received the honor of Best of Westchester in the Thrift/Consignment category in 2024 and in 2025!

Volunteering, Grants & Scholarships: We partner with a variety of non-profits across our service area.

Our members support these partners through event coordination, donation drives, funding, and numerous other efforts that further our mission. In addition to meeting essential needs like clothing, food, and hygiene, we also manage short- and long-term projects and provide grants and scholarships to community organizations and local students.

Connection:  We make a impact by staying connected to our community, working together to meet needs, learning new skills, and tackling important issues. We actively recruit new members from our diverse service area to expand and amplify our impact.

We drive real change by advancing social projects that benefit Westchester communities and by equipping women with leadership skills, educating them about community needs, providing hyper-local impact opportunities and leveraging their creativity and expertise.
