2025 Grant Recipients

JLWOS Grants Programs

The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound (JLWOS) is an educational and charitable organization of women with a mission to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. JLWOS’ volunteer and outreach activities are funded by the sales of its thrift shop, the Golden Shoestring, located in Larchmont.

The JLWOS grants programs are open to nonprofit community organizations in New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye Brook, Rye Neck, Rye, Harrison and Port Chester that are addressing the needs of women and children in this community. The 2025 Community Grant program has closed, and the 2026 program will open early next year. Please read about our 2025 winners below.

In addition, in 2025, in honor of its 75th anniversary, JLWOS is also running a parallel grant program – the 75th Anniversary Transformational Project Grants. The expression of interest deadline for the Transformational Project Grants has passed, and winner(s) will be announced in the second half of 2025.
