Board of Directors
President: Chris H.
Chris joined the Junior League when she was looking for ways to serve her local community. She is currently President and was previously on the JLWOS Board as VP of Communication and as Treasurer. She also serves on the Board of Dreamyard, an arts education organization based in the Bronx. Professionally, Chris spent many years with the Boston Consulting Group, supporting corporations and non-profits with strategic planning, growth and solving other business challenges. She also led a global internal startup in the digital and analytics space, serving as COO and setting up capability centers in India and Europe. Chris is a ICF certified executive coach and works with companies, non-profits and individuals to enact change, resolve conflict and support growth through consulting and/or executive coaching.
She has lived in Larchmont for over 25 years with her husband Joe and has two daughters who frequently visit from Manhattan.
Ways and Means VP: Caroline V.
Caroline joined the Junior League in 2014 in NYC and transferred to the JLWOS in 2020. She has served as President, Funds Development VP and Membership VP roles on JLWOS Board. Professionally, she serves as an Investment Officer for the International Development Finance Corporation, the U.S. Government’s development bank, where she originates investments in small businesses and financial services companies across the developing world. Previously, she worked for ReFED, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste, and spent 12 years at Deutsche Bank/DWS, in their international social finance group, managing impact investment funds. She also serves on the Board and Investment Committee of Upaya Social Ventures, a WA-based nonprofit and seed-stage investor in social enterprises in India. She has lived in Larchmont for over 8 years with her husband John and three children.
Membership VP: Melissa K
Secretary: Ria M.
Ria joined JLWOS in 2022. A lifelong resident of New Rochelle, she was happy to get involved in community volunteering in the broader Sound Shore community and in meeting likeminded women. In the League, Ria has helped with our league’s Sound Shore Archival project, assisting in lining up grantees, and is an enthusiastic volunteer at the Golden Shoestring. She has also served as Community VP on the Board for the past year.
Professionally, she holds two Masters degrees and previously worked in Healthcare administration.
Treasurer: Alisia T.
Alisia has served as the Treasurer of JLWOS for 1.5 years. Previously, she was a member of the New York Junior League for 4 years where she served as the Vice-Chair of the LIFT committee. Professionally, she is an accountant for a hedge fund, Stonehill Capital Management, after spending seven years at the Blackstone Group as a Director of Global Fund Finance. She is a CPA licensed in New York and North Carolina. Alisia lives in New Rochelle with her husband James, toddler son, and lagotto romagnolo.
Community VP: Sarah B.
Sarah moved to Larchmont in 1998 and joined the Junior League to meet new friends and contribute to the community. As an active, she worked on the STAR reading project, edited the Soundings monthly update, and served on the Golden Shoestring Committee. After a break juggling family needs, she’s happy to be more involved as Community VP and looks forward to a third year with the Board.
Sarah’s career has been in equity research and finance. She works as an Associate Wealth Advisor at Focus Partners, managing assets for high-net-worth families. She still lives in Larchmont, with her husband and 3 kids.
Funds VP: Antonella S.
Antonella joined the Junior League during Covid around the same time she moved to Westchester, in an effort to get involved and meet others in the community. She has served on the Golden Shoestring thrift store committee since joining and has been a part of its rebranding and renovations. Professionally, she co-founded and ran a creative advertising agency in Soho for a decade, where she produced large scale experiences for Fortune 500 brands, stage designs for world renowned musical artists, numerous NYFW shows and launched early stage, venture backed brands to market, overseeing everything from brand identity to comprehensive marketing campaigns. Prior to running her own agency in NYC, she worked in production and previously at an advertising agency in San Francisco. She lives in Mamaroneck with her husband, her toddler daughter (who you will often see with her helping at the Golden Shoestring) and their adopted pup.
